About Our Club

Who we are …

The MOMS Club of Bellevue, Tennessee, is the local chapter of the International MOMS Club (www.momsclub.org). We are a non-profit, support group for at-home moms.

What we do…

– We meet: We have a Monthly Social once a month where we meet, chat and engage in different activities or sometimes invite a speaker to educate our moms on various topics, such as child development, participating in consignment sales, photography and more. Along with our monthly social, we also plan many playgroups, activities and field trips for the moms and children to participate in together.  We also get out once a month for MOMS Night Out just to have a little girl time.

– We serve: Service is an important part of our club and to each of us personally. We have service projects that we work on throughout the year.  Our service projects change each month because we love our Bellevue community and we enjoy serving others.  We partner with several local groups to provide help to women, children, and the elderly in our community and beyond.

How we started…

The MOMS Club originally began in 1983 when Mary James, an at-home mom in California, decided she was tired of being home alone. She wanted to find other at-home mothers and other at-home children for her children to play with. When she discovered there was no such organization, she started her own. Now, there are over 2,100 chapters in the US alone with over 110,000 members. The MOMS Club has even expanded overseas to support mothers in other countries.
